Got questions on your first few trips? You’re not alone. We’ve put together a guide with answers to the most common questions from fellow Kokodians. Think of it as a little extra peace of mind to help you travel smoother, stress less, and enjoy every adventure.

Check 240 volt power is plugged in. Check circuit breaker at the power pole. Check circuit breaker in the van.

Check main switches are turned on. Check battery voltage at solar regulator. Check for a blown fuse. Check battery isolator.

Check that the gas bottle is turned on and the valve on the top of the regulator is pointing to the bottle being used. Check gas isolation valve is on. If the gas bottles have been changed there can sometimes be air in the gas lines. It may take a few attempts to light. Check that the fridge is on gas setting.

Check that power is plugged into van. Check power is turned on. Check that the external switch is turned on.

AES fridges have a time out period after been run from the battery. If the fridge does not start on gas straight away, don't worry. Try again in 10 minutes. This is just a safety feature.

Never travel with a fridge running on gas. Never travel with a hot water system running on gas.


Check antenna is up if 'Winegard'. Check that the booster is turned on. Check that the antenna lead is plugged in. Check the direction of fellow caravaners antennas. With a 'Jack' antenna ensure that it is turned on.


Check the fuses.


Scroll through the settings function on your radio until you find the fader option. This will allow you to turn down or turn off your external speakers.


Check that the switch is turned on. Check battery voltage. Check water tank level. Check fuses.


Check the water pump is turned on. Check water level in the water tank.


Check power is plugged in. Check circuit breaker.
